My obsessions over the years, now in link form
I was cleaning up my bookmarks and moving them to Delicious (username: yatii, but that's glaringly obvious, I suppose) and decided some of them are worth mentioning, especially the fandom related ones. Hee.
Some fic:

- Merlin/Arthur. There is one story they do not tell in Uther's court.
- It's one of those "oops, the secret's out" stories and Merlin has to Go Away. Love how it weaves in things from Arthurian legend, and the prose is spare while still being eloquent. The ending seems to leave a lot of people flailing about and wishing for more, but I think it's just right. (Wouldn't mind seeing more from the author, definitely.)
The Lymond Chronicles: Majnun bytryfanstone
- Lymond, Khaireddin. I just went asfgfghjkg. It's very short. You need context to understand it. (Seriously, guys, GO READ THE BOOKS.)
Danny Phantom: Infinite Potential by MyAibou
- Post-series, one of those "oh noes another threat is upon us!" stories. Except this time it's very well written, with solid characterisation and a plot that makes sense. XD Mostly Danny/Sam, but everyone else is there, too.
Fire and Hemlock: The True Story of Thomas Piper (As Told by Thomas Lynn) by jmtorres
- This is not a true story. (Tom/Polly)
Final Fantasy VIII: The Salt Flats byseraphitus
- Three years after time compression, Quistis Trepe returns to Esthar. Post-game, Quistis and Seifer.
Other fics are bundled here. Note that some of these aren't really recs -- some were bookmarked because I wanted to read them or are WIPs that I want (or wanted) to know how they end.

Danny Phantom: Danny and Sam by arugaisou
- This is sweet and cute and I like the style.
Gundam SEED Destiny: mostly Shinn and Stellar
- It's all gentle and soft. Shinn and Stellar together. And happy. And I like Shinn/Stellar. A lot.
- Some other fandoms as well, but I'm not that familiar with them.
Meta:
Xenosaga generally, because the details of the game fascinate me even as I become more and more baffled by it:

While I really love how in-depth the canon for this series is, I still can't make sense of a lot of things that happened, especially in the last game. Even with all the extra material. Fan-translated from Japanese, some rather odd sentences pop up from time to time.
- Mathematics in Xenosaga
Someone actually broke down the psuedo-scientific garble into pieces of logic and made it make sense! I don't know enough maths to tell how valid the whole thing is, but it doesn't deviate from what I do know.
Other things I liked:
- rules for time travellers (a mixtures of physics and science fiction!)
- print your own graph paper
- quilt blocks (I, uh, just look at them)
- free sewing patterns from naniIRO (but everything is in Japanese)
- this photo of the Milky Way
- and this photo of the sky and stars and mountains
- EtherPad, an online real-time, collaborative text editor
- pastebin, this thing where you can paste code and you can share the link (useful when on IM or IRC!)
