Huh. I hadn't been to the news page yet, having only been up 20 minutes, but when I pulled up Google News the very first article at the top of the page was the one about Israeli troops storming an aid ship.

(The bit about Germany's president resigning was not on the main page, but did appear on the "World News" section when I clicked--sixth item down.)
