asdjflhfgkf;. Has anyone else read Dorothy Dunnett's The Lymond Chronicles? The first book is titled The Game of Kings, if it helps.
Reading the books is making me incoherent (in a good way! . . . I hope!) and I have no one to flail about helplessly at. Help?

Date: 1 April 2008 01:33 am (UTC)I, uh, I would try to get people to read the books except that the setting is 16th century Scotland and the first book took me so frightfully long to get into and once you get into them you can't get out. And and. And the characters keep quoting poetry and using Latin and French and Spanish and Gaelic there are historical references you just don't get and it sorts of hurt your brain and I'm afraid my friends will throw the book at my head for reccing it to them. XD
But you still should read the books. Really.
