this week in tropical gardening---
Thursday, 29 April 2010 07:31 pmToday I want to share pictures of my garden!
Clicking on the pictures will take you to Flickr, where you can find larger versions of them. I guess that somewhat goes against the spirit of having all content exclusive to Dreamwidth, but I don't think posting the gigantic size versions here will endear me to anyone!
Do you see a bird in the midst of all those heliconias? Look closely. Look very, very closely.

Here's another shot of the bird, now perching on the rail. Anyone knows what bird it is?

Cosmos sulphureus. I think it's such a warm yellow.

I love how blue this flower is. I don't know what it's called. I want to have pots and pots of them along the driveway.

Crown of thorns (Euphorbia milii); pink instead of the more common red. I have these in a few colours!

Date: 6 May 2010 02:35 pm (UTC)Hm, I don't think it's flax. (All I know about flax is from the Wikipedia article that I had just skimmed through, but it doesn't seem to match.) The one gardening reference book I own is with a friend, but I'll see if I can find something about the flower when I get it back.
